We study the dynamics of molecules, chemical reactions, and condensed matter on very short timescales — down to femtoseconds (millionths of billionths of a second).
What Research Looks Like
It can be anything from coding to simulation and theory, to experimental work, to nano fabrication.
Example Undergraduate Projects
- Developing a microfluidic platform to engineer CAR-T cells using lasers
- Theory and simulations of a new nanophotonic metamaterial for nonlinear optics
- Fabricated nonlinear waveguides and characterized these in the lab
