Principal Investigator: Sunghan Ro
Recently, Ro has focused on studying collective phenomena in active matter, which consists of units driven out of equilibrium at the individual level.
The project would likely involve a simple analytical calculations followed by careful numerical verification.
Knowledge of statistical mechanics and experience with numerical simulations (molecular dynamics or Monte Carlo sampling). Familiarity with stochastic dynamics would also be very helpful.
Typically going to graduate school, possibly to study theoretical soft condensed matter physics.
Time Commitment
The required time commitment depends on the nature of the project. For a relatively simple project, about 5 to 10 hours per week would be appropriate.
