To make progress, we use accessible biophysical models of organism behavior that can be studied from sensory input to motor output.
What Research Looks Like
A lot of data analysis. It takes time to learn how to do experiments, but if someone is willing to work 6 months, they can participate in actual experiments.

We are neuroscientists. We use physics as a tool and way of thinking, not an end in itself.
Where Students Go After
Many continue to graduate school. At least one has become a faculty member.
