About the Lab
My group has projects that span quite a number of topics in quantum physics, from theory to experiment.
What Research Looks Like
On the experimental side, work often involves optics, electronics, and coding. On the theoretical side, work can involve analytic calculations, numerical simulations, and working closely with experimental data.
Example Undergraduate Projects
- Many-body NV systems: "Repetitive readout to get to the spin projection noise limit"
- High-pressure sensing: "Optimizing the interpretation of magnetic resonance spectra from high-Tc superconductors"
- Spin dynamics: "Neural quantum states for spin squeezing"
Prerequisites & Skills
Having taken a semester of quantum would be great, but is not necessarily required.
